Police have launched a murder inquiry following the discovery of the body of a woman at a property in Peterborough.

Officers were called to the house in Mayor’s Walk at just after 12.30pm today (June 5).

A cordon has been put up and police, including scenes of crime officers, remain at the premises.

A post mortem examination is due to take place at Peterborough City Hospital on Monday.

I am not able to confirm the identity of the victim at this stage. No arrests have been made.
