Attempted Robbery at the Premier Store in Normanby

Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery took place at the Premier Store at Hollywalk Avenue in Normanby.
The incident occurred on Sunday 21st June at around 9:50pm when two males, one of whom was holding a long screwdriver, entered the shop and demanded money.

The two males made off empty handed after they were challenged by staff. A female staff member sustained a minor hand injury during this incident, but did not require hospital treatment.
The males have been described as white males, possibly in their late teens and both of slim build, wearing dark clothing and motorcycle helmets. They made off from the scene on a red motor scooter.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact Detective Constable Ian Cox on the non-emergency number 101, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 orwww.crimestoppers-uk.org.
