Police are currently at the scene of a serious road collision in Acomb, York, involving a four-year-old child.The collision was reported at 4.17pm on Tuesday 23 June 2015 after the child was hit by a car.
York Road is currently closed and is expected to remain closed for several hours to allow collision investigators to examine the scene.
The child sustained a head injury in the collision and has been taken to hospital.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
