Police appeal After A690 Collision

Durham police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which occurred on the A690 between Brancepeth and Meadowfield on Tuesday 5th May.

The collision, which involved a black Mercedes C250 and a bronze Volvo XC60 happened shortly after 3pm when the vehicles collided head on. The occupants of both vehicles were taken to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment, but were not seriously hurt.

Police would like to speak with anybody who may have seen the collision or who may have seen either vehicle shortly before. Anybody with information is requested to contact Sgt Mark Sheppard of the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit via the non-emergency number 101.
