85 year old has large sum of money stolen Hemlington from door step traders

Police are appealing for information after two unknown offenders claiming to be repair men in the Hemlington area of Middlesbrough have made off with a large amount of an elderly man’s money after claiming to have repaired his home.
The incident occurred on Wednesday 20th May at around 2:00pm when the offenders, driving a white Ford Transit Van targeted an 85-year-old man’s home on Southdene Drive in Hemlington.
The victim is partially blind and is hard of hearing and he handed over his money to the fraudsters after believing they had completed repair work to his house.

Both of the offenders were wearing hi-viz jackets, one in orange and the other in green. The male wearing the green jacket was also wearing glasses.
