Police remain at the scene of a serious collision near Low Marishes on the A169 between Pickering and Malton.

The collision involved a single motorcycle that left the road and came to rest in a ditch. 

 It was reported at 5.50am on Tuesday 7 April 2015. The rider of motorcycle, a man aged in his 60s has been taken to Scarborough District Hospital. 

The road remains closed while collision investigators examine the scene. The diversion is unsuitable for HGVs and drivers of these vehicles are advised to avoid the area.
