Police are appealing for witnesses aftera house fire in Sunderland.

It happened around 3.15pm on FridayMarch 27 at an address in Byron Street. 

The fire is believed to have been starteddeliberately and is being treated as arson.

Noone was injured in the fire, however,extensive damage has been caused to the property.

Officers are carrying out enquiriesand appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
