Durham Police would like to make an appeal for witnesses to a couple of serious road traffic collision in which a motorist is in a critical condition

 

The first incident occurred on A19 just after 10 am this morning where it is believed a vehicle turned onto the A19 to travel North on the Southbound carriageway and has collided with another vehicle. Two people have been taken to hospital with none life threatening injuries.

 

The second incident occurred on A19 at approximately 10.30 where it is believed that a VWPolo has collided with a Ford Ka and a Mini Cooper. Six people have been taken to local hospitals and it is believed that one person is in a critical condition.


Police have confirmed one person has been arrested on suspision of dangerous driving. 


Sgt Wells of Durham Constabulary road policing unitwould like to speak with anybody who may have seen the collision.
