Police Officer asked to remove cops badge due to offence ‪#‎MinesNotComingOff

A Police inspector based at Sussex Police has ordered a Police Constable to remove a patch from his uniform because it may offend members of the public.

The Satirical Police Federation Bullshire Police Federation which is taken seriously by frontline Police Officers and highlights important factual policing issues broke the news this afternoon.

The patch which was offered on sale by UK Cop Humour to raise funds for A chairty called UK COPS.

The Chief Constable York of Sussex Police has confirmed it was not his decision to request that the police officer remove his chairty badge and that he does support the chairty.

However CC York did comment that he had a negative feeling about it.

He further went on to tweet that his sense may be wrong.

UK COPS helps the families of those who have lost a loved police officer on duty.

The patch itself has raised £5785 for the chairty.
