No arrests following Gun shot Uxbridge Murder

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following the murder of a man in Uxbridge.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to Vine Lane, Uxbridge, junction with St Andrews Lane at 18:59hrs on Tuesday, 3 February following reports of a shooting.

Officers and London Air Ambulance attended the scene and found a 38-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 19:56hrs.

Next of kin have been informed but we await formal identification. A post-mortem examination will be held at Fulham mortuary this afternoon, Wednesday 4 February.

At this early stage it is believed the victim was inside his parked car on the driveway of an address in Vine Lane when he was approached by a lone male suspect.

The suspect then fired a number of shots into the vehicle before making off on foot towards Saunders Road.

No arrests have been made and enquires are ongoing.

At this stage it is believed this was a targeted, rather than a random, attack. However, detectives retain an open mind about the motive.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command based at Hendon are investigating.
