Man attacks two parents and returns to threaten police with two knifes at primary school

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray after verbally and physically assaulting peopleoutside a school in Longsight.

At around 3pm on Wednesday 11th February 2015, police were called to St Luke’s Church of England PrimarySchool on Langport Avenue following reports that a man had shouted abuseat people waiting outside the school and had pushed two women to the ground.

Following the attack, the manthen walked away.

Soon after officers attendedthe scene, the same man appeared carrying two knives, which he used to threaten the officers.

Officers reacted swiftly and with the use of a Taser, safely arrested the man, preventing any harm to him, officers present or members of the public.
