Police can confirm five vehicles, including a bus, were involved in a collision in Norwich city centre this afternoon (13 February).
Officers were called to Brazen Gate shortly before 4pm to reports of a collision involving a bus, which had also collided with scaffolding.
Four other vehicles, a Citroen Saxo, Vauxhall Astra, Peugeot 206 and a light goods vehicles, were also involved.
The incident caused long delays for motorists in the city centre with St Stephen’s roundabout being closed. The road remains closed while recovery workers move the bus and engineers are assessing the scaffolding.
Two people, a female passenger from the bus and the male driver of the Saxo, were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but have since been discharged with minor injuries. The bus driver was uninjured.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, including any passengers who didn’t speak with officers at the scene.
Witnesses should contact PC Richard Syrett at Wymondham Roads Policing on 101.
