Police are appealing for information after a fatal collision in Newcastle.

At 3:39pm on Wednesday, February 11,police received a report of a collision involving a bus and pedestrianin Whickham View.

Police and paramedics attended and thepedestrian, an 11-year-old boy, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing into the collisionand anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on 101ext 69191 quoting reference number 689 11/02/15.
