Emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal collision on the A14 at Claydon involving a motorcyclist and a car.
Police were called shortly before 9pm this evening, Sunday 4 January, to reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike on the westbound carriageway of the A14, between junctions 53 and 52, just after Whitehouse.
A fatality has sadly been confirmed. Further details relating to the deceased and vehicles involved are not yet known.
The road is currently closed westbound between junctions 52 and 55 and a diversion is in place from Junction 55 at Copdock onto the B1113. The closure is expected to be in place for some time.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team quoting CAD 306 of 4/1/15 on 101.
