Police officers were today abused by members of the public after they tried to save the life of a man who fell to his death.

Officers responded to an emergency call after reports of a man sitting on a ledge of the NCO multi-storey car park which is located on St Jude’s Passage in Birmingham.

Police officer’s who attempted to speak to the man in an attempt to stop him jumping were repeatedly verbally abused as drivers were unable to return to their cars.

Sadly the man jumped and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital a short time later.

Police Officers and Medics dealing with the incident have been greatly saddened and shock and are thinking if this man’s family at this tragic time.
