Police Officer dead after being pushed in front of train

A Police Officer has been murdered after he was pushed in front of a moving train.

The officer who has been named as Officer Francisco Javier Ortega aged 28 is believed to have asked a group of passengers for some identification papers.

An altercation then breaks out between the officers and the group on the Madrid platform resulting in the officer being dragged into an approaching train.

Local media has named the man as Yode Ali Raba, both Raba and Officer Ortega were taken to hospital.

Officer Ortega was pronounced dead a short time later.
