One house calls 999 Emergency number 653 times in one year

One house hold in Birmingham has managed to rack 653 emergency calls to the ambulance services within 2014.

Although the calls were all for someone who was feeling unwell they only resulted in 11 hospital visits. Ambulance crews on average visited the address in Shard End twice a day for every single day within 2014.

30 other address within the west midlands have resulted in a total of 5,000 calls to the 999 emergency number resulting in on average 13 call outs per day.

The staggering results raise the argument for more to be done against those that misuse the 999 system.
