Motherwell man charged with murder

A Motherwell man has appeared at Hamilton Sheriff court charged with murder.

Gerald McGough, 56-years old was discovered in a property at Watson Street, Motherwell, around 8.30pm on Saturday evening.

Police launched an investigation and David Lander was arrested in connection with the death of Gerald McGough.

The 53-year-old, from Motherwell, was charged with murder.

No plea/declaration was made and was remanded in custody ahead of another court appearance later in January.
