Counter Terrorism Officers have bailed Twelve men

Twelve men have been re-bailed following their arrests by officers from the Metropolitan Police Service’s Counter Terrorism Command (SO15).

Nine men [A-I] were arrested on Thursday, 25 September 2014 in London on suspicion of being a member of a proscribed organisation, supporting a proscribed organisation contrary to Section 11 and 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000 and encouraging terrorism contrary to Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

Two men were arrested on Friday, 26 September 2014, in a vehicle on the M6 motorway. [J] was arrested on suspicion of being a member of a proscribed organisation, supporting a proscribed organisation contrary to Section 11 and 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000 and encouraging terrorism contrary to Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006. [K] was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

One man [L] was arrested on Thursday, 9 October 2014 at a residential address in east London on suspicion of a Section 4 public order offence and on suspicion of being a member of a proscribed organisation and providing support for a proscribed organisation.

Additionally, one man [A] was charged on Friday, 26 September 2014 with two counts of breaching his notification requirements.

The twelve men will return to central London police stations in April 2015.
