Investigations are underway following the discovery of a man’s body on the A47 at Colney.
Police were called at shortly after 3am this morning, Saturday 24 January 2015, to a report of a male lying on the eastbound carriageway.
Ambulance staff attended the scene and sadly the man, believed to be aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The body was found close to the B1108 flyover/bridge and an investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
No further information relating to the deceased will be released at this time.
The A47 and the B1108 sections of road close to Colney were closed to allow investigations to take place at the scene with diversions in place. The roads were opened at around 7am.
