Armed Response Officers from Cleveland Police Firearms Unit have descended on a street in Hartlepool in the early hours of this morning.
Armed Officers, Police Dogs & the forces air-support unit carried out a proactive operation at 2am on Miers Avenue in Hartlepool.
Eye witnesses have told police hour they were woken up by loud banging and screaming within the street, which alerted them to the ongoing policing activity within the street.
At this early stage it is believed to have been a drugs raid.
Cleveland Police has not commented on the policing activity which occurred at the address.
