Police investigating the murder of Jeremie Malenge, 17, in Hackney on 6 January have arrested four youths – including a 14-year-old boy in connection with the investigation.

On Monday, 12 January a 17-year-old boy from Redbridge [B], a male youth (age unknown) from Enfield [C] and a 14-year-old boy from Hackney [D] were arrested on suspicion of murder.

[B] and [D] were charged today, Tuesday, 13 January and will appear in custody at Stratford Youth Court on Wednesday, 14 January. [C] was bailed pending further enquires.

On Tuesday, 13 January a 17-year-old boy was arrested in West Yorkshire on suspicion of murder. He currently remains in custody.

A 17-year-old female from the Hackney area [A] was arrested on 8 January and charged with murder on 11 January. She appeared in custody at Stratford Youth Court on Monday, 12 January and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 14 January.

In total five people have been arrested in connection with the murder.
