Northumbria Police are continuing a search for a missing man from Washington.
Colin Pine aged 55 a Football fan of Ennerdalein Albany, Washington did not return home after going out to watch the Tyne-wear derby on Sunday December 21st.
He was reported missing in the early hours of Monday morning on December 22nd.
Police believe he watched the match at The Swan Public House in Heworth.
Officers are carrying out a number of enquiries to trace him which include the viewing of CCTV images.
Superintendent Scott Hall said: “Mr Pine’s family are desperate to hear from him, this is distressing at anytime of year but over the Christmas period it is particularly difficult. If anyone has any information about where Mr Pine is, if they saw him after the match on Sunday or think they may have seen him since, we want to hear from them.
“No matter how small or insignificant the information may appear it could be vital in piecing together Mr Pine’smovement and helping us to find him. It’s now been almost a week since Mr Pine was last seen and we’re extremely concerned for his welfare.
“If anyone was in The Swan on Sundayand has not yet spoken to us we would also ask them to get in contact.”
Mr Pine is described as 5ft 6ins tall of stocky build, and when last seen he was wearing a black fleece, navy blue t-shirt, blue jeans and black walking boots.
