Pensioner arrested on suspicion of murder following young mans death

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Pimlico.

Police were called at approximately 18:05hrs on Friday, 19 December by London Ambulance Service to reports of a man stabbed at a residential address in Lumley Flats, Pimlico Road, SW1.

Officers and London’s Air Ambulance also attended the scene but the man, believed aged 33, was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are underway to inform all next of kin.

A woman, aged 65, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a north London police station.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Bonner of the Homicide and Major Crime Command leads the investigation.
