Murder detectives who are investigating the murder of a man in his 70s in soho have named him as David West.

David West of Ormond Yard was stabbed in his home address approximately 1800hrs on Friday 12th December.

An incident room has opened under Detective Chief Inspector Andy Chalmers of the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command.

Anyone who has information relating to this incident but has not yet spoken with police should call 0208 358 0100 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A 44 year-old man was arrested at an address in Jermyn Street and is currently in custody at a west London police station.
