Dorest Highcliffe School on Lockdown following shots fired

Dorset Police Armed response unit is on high alert after a number of shots have been fired at workmen close to Highcliffe School.

The school has been placed on lockdown as a purely precautionary measure.

No children are at risk however no arrests have been made.

Police have confirmed children are being kept safe within the building.
