Rumel Miah, 24, of Fifth Avenue, Burnley, is wanted for a prison recall. He was sentenced to four years in February 2012 for drug offences and was released in February 2014 on license, but has since been charged for an assault in the Stoneyholme area of Burnley that happened on Wednesday, 5 November.
He is wanted for breach of his license and failing to sign on at the police station following bail for the assault.
Miah is known to frequent the Stoneyholme area of Burnley.
He is described as Asian, 5ft 7 tall of a stocky build with short black hair and he is clean shaven.
DC Lisa Moore of Burnley Police said: “We are keen to locate Miah as soon as possible and I would urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to get in touch with us, or if he sees this appeal himself, please contact us on 101.
“We would advise members of the public not to approach him but to contact police if they see him.
