Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched in the head along Albert Road in Middlesbrough.

He was assaulted at 3am on Sunday November 16th, the victim aged 27 was walking along Albert Road between Chambers and Barracuda whilst he was using his mobile phone.

He was punched serval times and required hospital treatment for facial injuries.

Any witnesses or anyone with further information is asked to contact PC Claire Baker on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
