Hero police officers from Cleveland Police have saved the life of a young woman who was in a distressed state and was walking in to the sea at Redcar beach during hours or darkness.
Officers who attended the incident had become concerned about the state of mind of the young woman and concerned for her safety.
The woman walked beyond her depth and began struggling within the water quick thinking cops quickly jumped in the water and swam out to and restrained her and brought her back to safety.
Once the officers had attended the officers and young woman were assisted by Redcar Lifeboat Station & North East Ambulance Service.
