A 38-year old man has lost his life in a fatal road crash on Sunday morning at Stroud Road, in East Kilbride.
Emergency crews were called around 2:30am, to assist at a road traffic collision in the town. On arrival, 999 crews discovered a Nissan Qashqui, had left the road and had collided with some trees near to the roadside. Fire and Ambulance crews battled to save the 38-year old mans (driver) life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Stroud road, was closed for a number of hours on Sunday morning, due to police investigating the cause of the tragic accident.
Constable Gregg Dick, from Motherwell road policing unit said “the male driver has not yet been named and we are appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.”
