80 year old dementia sufferer fails to return home

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing 80-year-old man.

Christopher MacDonald, known as John, was last seen at Claremont Road, NW2 at 17:20hrs on Sunday, 23 November. He had boarded a coach from Victoria to Stevenage but alighted the coach at Cricklewood.

He has not been seen since.

Christopher is a white man, 5ft 5ins tall of medium build with grey hair.

At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a beige fleece, blue trousers and blue shoes that secure with a velcro strap.

John suffers from dementia and arthritis. He had a small amount of cash on him but no identification documents, travel pass or phone.

It is likely that he may have tried to board a bus or train as he was travelling home to Stevenage from London when he went missing. He is not familiar with the NW2 area.

Officers are increasingly concerned for his wellbeing and would urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to call police on 101 or Missing People on 116000 quoting reference 14MIS042356.
