Two men have been left with serious injuries after an unprovoked attack by a group of seven men. Two of the seven attackers were seen wearing fancy dress costumes.

Police Scotland said the two men who are aged 31 and 33, were severely punched and kicked by the group on Renfield Street at about 03:15 on Sunday morning.

One of the attackers was wearing a green Robin Hood-type hat with a red feather at the left-hand side.

Another was wearing what police described as blonde “Heidi-type” wig with plaits on either side.

The attack took place close to the junction at Renfield Lane in the city centre.

After the attack the gang fled to Buchanan street bus station to catch a Taxi.

Police Scotland are also keen to speak to the taxi driver who picked them up from the rank in the early hours of Sunday morning.
