POLICE are looking to trace a man they would like to speak to in connection with burglary offences and on prison recall.

Thomas Gray, 22, thought to be from the Blackpool area, is currently wanted in connection with a burglary in Rossendale Valley at a rural farm that occurred on Friday 3 October in which £15,000 of jewellery was taken along with antique decommissioned sporting rifles from the 1870s.

He is additionally being sought in relation to a burglary on Bispham Road, Blackpool which occurred on 26 February 2014 and he is wanted on prison recall due to breach of his licence conditions. He is also wanted in connection with other thefts or burglaries in neighbouring regions.

Gray is described as a white male of a medium build, with short dark brown hair and he speaks with an Irish accent.

Sergeant Lee Turner of Burnley Police said: “We believe that Gray has known links with the travelling communities in Blackpool, Poulton Le Fylde, Accrington, Burnley and Rossendale, but he could have links to other parts of the county.

“It is believed that Gray may approach properties at random offering to carry out gardening work and he may have access to a number of vehicles including vans, which on the face of it look like legitimate business.

“Anyone who may know of the whereabouts of this man or has any information which could help us to find him should contact the East Division High Impact Acquisitive Crime Team by ringing 101.”

Alternatively, they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
