Man charged for abducting 1-year old at a house in Oldam

A man has been charged with child abduction following an incident in Oldham.

Just after 5pm on Monday 22 September 2014, police were called to Meldrum Street in Oldham following reports that a one-year-old girl had been taken from her house whilst her mother was upstairs.

The mother confronted a man holding her daughter in a neighbouring address and a short struggle ensued over the child before the mum eventually managed to get her back.

The man then ran off.

Michael Keeton (24/07/1987), of Meldrum Street, Oldham is charged with child abduction and is due to appear at Oldham magistrates’ court on Thursday 9 October 2014.

Six men taken to hospital after police pursuit in Norfolk.

Six men have been taken to hospital after a police pursuit, which started in Norfolk and resulted in a road collision at Six Mile Bottom in Cambridgeshire.

Norfolk Police were called around 9.25pm last night (Wednesday 25 April) following reports of a burglary at an address in Cavell Road in Norwich where the suspect(s) fled from the scene in a black Mercedes C200.

Officers located the suspected vehicle on the A11 heading southbound towards Suffolk. A pursuit continued towards Newmarket, westbound on the A14.

The car subsequently crashed at the junction of the A1304 and A11 at Six Mile Bottom at about 10.35pm.

No other vehicle was involved in the collision.

Six men were taken to hospital with five of those arrested at the scene. Two of the men are currently in Addenbrookes Hospital with serious injuries, two men were taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with serious injuries whilst two other men have since been released from hospital and have now been taken into custody.

Man charged with malicious wounding following incident at Morrisons supermarket

A man has been charged with malicious wounding, possession of an offensive weapon and theft after an incident in a Lowestoft supermarket.

The incident took place at Morrisons, on North Quay Retail Park on Sunday 22 April at around 1.35pm.

Police received reports that a male member of staff had been stabbed by a man with a syringe, after the worker had attempted to stop the man.

Officers were immediately despatched and detained a 34-year-old man nearby.

The victim sustained a cut to his hand which required hospital treatment.

Bozlu Miah, of Bramble Green, Lowestoft has been charged with unlawful and malicious wounding and possession of an offensive weapon (syringe) in a public place.

He has also been charged with the theft of five bottles of alcohol.

Miah has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Norwich Crown Court on 22 May 2018.

Witnesses or anybody with any information are asked to call Suffolk Police on 101, quoting reference 37/CJ/3154/18.

Urgent appeal to find Roy Kenworthy aged 88 missing from Killingworth Newcastle

Police are appealing for information from the public to help find missing man Roy Kenworthy.

Roy is 88 and from the Benton area. He is described as around 5’7”, slim with grey hair and was last seen today (Wednesday) at around 4pm by his wife at the Morrisons store in the Killingworth Shopping Centre.

He was wearing a blue coat with beige trousers.

Officers are continuing their enquiries but are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare as Roy is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Anyone who has seen him or may know of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 823 250418.
