Shock Administration, closure of all Phone 4U stores

Mobile phone store Phone 4U is expected to enter administration on Monday morning after it announced they will not be opening any of their stores tomorrow following the shock announcement, 5500 are expected to have lost their job.

All the stores will be empty tomorrow and will not open after it has emerged that Vodafone and EE have dropped the company from selling contract phones on their network.

The announcement means that Phones 4U actually have no products they are able to sell, meaning the business has been wiped off the market, which may allow for mobile phones and the cost of contract phones to be hiked up as there will be no competition on the high street.

No customers will be affected by the shock announcement, who already have contract phones as these will be managed by the network and you will be billed as usual.

It is not known what will happen to those who have already pre-ordered the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus having already paid for the handset.

The Carphone Warehouse has reacted to the shock news.
