A 25-year-old man has tonight be charged with the murder of 82-year-old Palmira Silva.

Poor Palmira a local business owner was beheaded in North London, it is not yet known if the victim knew the offender.

Police have charged Nicholas Salvador of Gilda Avenue, Enfield he is expected to appear before Highbury Corner Magistrates court.

Along with a further charge of assault on a police officer.

Police are investigating possible links of two further attempted attacks within the street.

Police attempted to evacuate properties in the street, warning residents a man was armed with a knife.
