Four Police Forces under investigation over handling of sexual abuse allegations

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has confirmed four police forces are currently under investigation over the way they handled sexual abuse allegations in relation to Jimmy Savile.

The forces under investigation are Sussex, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Surrey Police.

They are all being investigation over their conduct in relation to the handling of claims of sexual abuse of victims by Jimmy Savile.

The IPCC has confirmed that the Metropolitan Police Service will not be investigated over the matter.
