Aviemore – Woman's Body found in water at Loch Morlich

Police enquiries are ongoing to identify the body of a woman who found in the water’s of Loch Morlich, LM_0004Aviemore.

On Monday 01 September 2014, Police Scotland recovered the body of a woman from the water at Loch Morlich, near Aviemore.

As part of ongoing enquiries to identify the woman and trace her last known movements, police have released CCTV footage which police officers believe captures the woman within the Glenmore Shop and Pinemartin Bar, a popular tourist shop and bar in the Glenmore area, at approximately 19:00 hours on 31 August 2014.

She is described as white, 40 to 60 yrs. 5’6” to 5’8” in height, stocky build and brown hair with blonde streaks. She was wearing a black jacket, black jeans, a white blouse and pink high top trainers. She has distinctive fingernail artwork which is alternately coloured in bright pink and bright blue with diamante gems.

Her death is still being treated as unexplained at this time.
