South Yorkshire Police have confirmed they have searched the home of Sir Cliff Richard in relation to a historic sexual offence.

Police have gained entry and searched the property in Sunningdale area of Berkshire.

Sky News has reported that the search relates to an alleged sex offence from the 1980s involving a boy who was under the age of 16 at the time.

Officers were granted a search warrant to search the property, no one has been arrested as the property owner was not at the address.
