Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the circumstances around a serious road traffic collision which occurred shortly at 2:45pm on 20 August on the B2068 near Petham.

 A motorcycle was travelling north up Stone Street when it was in collision with a white van. The bike was subsequently in collision with a further vehicle, travelling southbound on the opposite carriageway.

Patrols attended and closed the road while the man, a 25 year-old from the Canterbury area, received treatment.

Kent Police does not have a update on the man’s condition at this stage.

Insp Martin Stevens from Kent Police’s Roads Policing Team said: ‘Both of the other vehicles involved stopped at the scene and there were no other people seriously hurt in the incident. Witnesses have been spoken to but no arrests have been made.’

Insp Stevens added: ‘The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is making enquiries and any further witnesses who may have seen any of the vehicles involved prior to the collision are asked to call our witness appeal line on 01622 798538, quoting incident number 20-831.
