Police and Crime Commissioner to be suspended if he does not quit

The Labour party has suggested they will suspend Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Shaun Wright from the party if he has not resigned from the post in the morning. The Press Association has claimed.

Theresa May has already spoke out against PCC Shaun Wright that he should listen to those requesting he resign from the role.

It follows Wright heading the Rotherham’s Child Services when it was revealed over 1,400 children were abused in the five years he was in charge from 2005 to 2010, he had confirmed he had already stepped down from his former role at the rime and had learnt lessons from that period.

He has confirmed he has no plans to step down from the role.
