Residents across Teesside have contacted Police Hour following concerns of flaring at the Wilton Site on Teesside.

It is very normal for flaring at the site to cause an orange glow and loud banging sounds.

The process is used to burn extra gas with the Stack Flare creating a bright glow and thunder like sounds.

It is not believed to be anything serious.
