Police arrest man over robbery on Stockton Bank.

Cleveland Police have launched an investigation following a robbery at HSBC on Stockton High Street.

Police received reports at 2.25pm on Thursday July 17th that an attempted robbery had occurred within the high street branch.

Police have closed the branch as Scenes of Crime Officers carry out a forensic investigation within the Stockton branch.

Armed Officers and unarmed officers launched a search resulting in the arrest of a 30-year-old male, he is currently in police custody.

Police are requesting anyone who may have any information relating to the incident or may have seen anything suspicious to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
