Police are investigating following a serious incident in which a male attempted to snatch a three year old from her own garden.

Police received reports of the incident which occurred at a block of flats on Egerton Street in Patricroft, Salford.

He lifted the girl over the fence and attempted to walk off with the girl, he was immediately confronted by the girls mother.

The man quickly left the area he is described as being of eastern European appearance, around 5ft 8in tall, of medium build and with black, short but tightly curled hair. He was described as wearing a red and white baseball cap, red jacket and red trainers.
