HSBC Closes account of Finsbury Park Mosque

HSBC contacted Finsbury Park Mosque and informed the Treasure of their intention to close the bank accounts they hold.

The accounts will be closed from 22nd September 2014 after the bank reviewed its policy in relation to Clause 7 of the Business Banking terms and conditions.

Providing the Mosque with two months notice of termination of the agreement they hold with the Mosque.

The Mosque was the headquarters for the radical preacher Abu Hamza.

It is believed HSBC has closed a number of Muslim organisation relation accounts.
