Police have confirmed seventeen people are in hospital after a car ploughed into a large crowd at a car cruising event.

Car Cruising is were a number of boy racers and females gather in a car park driving at high speed and performing stunts to show off their cars ability.

The youngest victim is believed to be aged just 16, her condition is described as serious.

The incident happened in a car park in Tavistock Road, Plymouth at 10pm on Saturday.

Police have arrested a male on suspicion of dangerous driving.
