Anthony Turner charged with stealing £5000 in HSBC Stockton High Street robbery

Anthony Turner aged 30 has been remanded in custody following a robbery at HSBC on Stockton High Street, he did not enter a plea.

Turn of Rimswell Road, Stockton was quickly arrested following reports that a robbery had occurred within the branch resulting in £5000 cash being stolen.

Armed and unarmed officers quickly responded to the incident resulting in his arrest.

Police sealed off the bank and forensics investigations began within the bank.

Police have urged anyone who witnessed the incident or may have seen any suspicious activity to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
