Emergency Services are currently at the scene of an ongoing serious road traffic incident at Seal Sands Road, leading to Marsh House Road in Billingham.

It is believed the incident involves a black Ford Ka and a motorbike.

One eye witness has told Police Hour “The incident looks really bad, two people are laid on the floor after a Motorbike crashed into the side of the Ford Ka”.

The great North Air Ambulance has landed to evacuate a causality.

Police have confirmed the A1185 wolviston is closed in both directions, between the Marsh House Avenue junction and the A19 junction.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
