Serious Embsay traffic incident leaves two in hospital

North Yorkshire Police have witnessed an appeal following a serious collision resulting in two in hospital.

The collision occurred this evening at around 3.55pm, Sunday June 29th on Skipton Road.

The collision involved a motorcycle with a sidecar.

As a result of the collision the motorcycle, which had been travelling from Embsay towards Skipton, left the road before going through a hedge.

The man riding the motorbike and a man who was the passenger in the sidecar were taken to Airedale General Hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

Traffic Constable Ken Riley, of the Force’s Roads Policing Group, said: “If you witnessed the collision, or saw the motorbike and sidecar prior to the incident, I ask you to contact the police straight away, as you may have vital details which could help my enquiry.”
