A man well known around the town of Hartlepool has been found dead in his home.
Cleveland Police found the body of a man in his 60s after he had not been seen for a number of days.
Local sources have named the man as town cross-dresser Lawrence Martin, who was well known across the town.
Officer made the discovery at his property in Rium Terrace on Thursday at 4.15pm.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances following his death.
